FREEDOM

MORNING AND EVENING
Daily Readings
By
CHARLES H. SPURGEON

Sep 19 Morning
“The liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free.”
- Galatians 5:1
This “liberty” makes us free to heaven’s charter-the Bible. Here is a choice passage, believer, “When thou passest through the rivers, I will be with thee.” You are free to that. Here is another: “The mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed, but my kindness shall not depart from thee”; you are free to that. You are a welcome guest at the table of the promises. Scripture is a never-failing treasury filled with boundless stores of grace. It is the bank of heaven; you may draw from it as much as you please, without let or hindrance. Come in faith and you are welcome to all covenant blessings. There is not a promise in the Word which shall be withheld. In the depths of tribulations let this freedom comfort you; amidst waves of distress let it cheer you; when sorrows surround thee let it be thy solace. This is thy Father’s love-token; thou art free to it at all times. Thou art also free to the throne of grace. It is the believer’s privilege to have access at all times to his heavenly Father. Whatever our desires, our difficulties, our wants, we are at liberty to spread all before him. It matters not how much we may have sinned, we may ask and expect pardon. It signifies nothing how poor we are, we may plead his promise that he will provide all things needful. We have permission to approach his throne at all times-in midnight’s darkest hour, or in noontide’s most burning heat. Exercise thy right, O believer, and live up to thy privilege. Thou art free to all that is treasured up in Christ-wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. It matters not what thy need is, for there is fulness of supply in Christ, and it is there for thee. O what a “freedom” is thine! freedom from condemnation, freedom to the promises, freedom to the throne of grace, and at last freedom to enter heaven!

What great words of Wisdom, How many of us today are living in the Freedom we have in Christ, I have been thinking about this a lot lately looking at my life and asking myself am I living that free life, or am I in bondage, What things are holding you back from living in that Freedom. I believe often unbelief hinders us from living in Freedom and keeps us just on the edge looking at what we could have and we seldom come away from that. My prayer for myself and you all out there is that we would really let go and Let God, that we would run from the bondage's that so easily ensnare us and live in the Freedom that Christ brings to us.
If you are His, and you realize that He is Truth and believe in Him then the word tells us it is impossible for Him to lie, and He tells us that the Truth will set us free, then you are Free indeed. Live in that Freedom every second of the day my friend and accomplish big things for the LORD and with the LORD!!!!!!!
WE ARE FREE!!!!

Luca's first day in school

It was a rainy day, but the smile on Luca's face changed it into a beautiful one. He was so excited to have his backpack on the "Schultüte" filled with all kinds of goodies. We first went to the protestant church for a short school service and then headed to the school where about 70 kids where anxious to meet their teachers. More nervous where the 300 adults when the kids went with their teachers into the class room and we had to wait for about an hour, it seemed like a day till they came back, ALL SMILES!! The celebration here at home was very nice too, Oma and Opa came, Katrin and Timo with baby Mia, and Claudi came right after work. Now we have 2 kids in school, it's a strange feeling but I know that we will be just fine.
